This module is a high-performance Analog Input Module from the Modicon X80 range by Schneider Electric, designed to seamlessly integrate into industrial automation systems requiring accurate and responsive analog signal processing. Equipped with 8 non-isolated input channels, this module ensures precise analog-to-digital conversion with a 16-bit resolution, supporting a wide range of control and monitoring tasks. The electrical connection is made through a 28-way single connector, simplifying installation while maintaining reliability.
When it comes to signal handling, the module supports both voltage and current input ranges, offering an input impedance of 10 MΩ in voltage mode and 250 Ω in current mode, ensuring compatibility with various sensor types. The analog input resolution is 15 bits plus sign, and it utilizes a first-order digital filter for noise reduction and signal clarity. Internal resistor conversion is calibrated for high accuracy, with 0.1% precision and a stability of 15 ppm/°C, ensuring long-term measurement consistency.
In terms of speed, the BMXAMI0800 delivers a fast read cycle time of 1 ms plus an additional 1 ms per active channel, with a nominal read cycle time of just 9 ms for all 8 channels, making it suitable for time-sensitive applications. It comes factory calibrated, minimizing the need for manual adjustments and ensuring plug-and-play performance right out of the box.
The module is built for rugged environments, operating reliably in temperatures from 0°C to 60°C, and tolerating storage conditions down to -40°C and up to 85°C. It withstands relative humidity up to 95% at 55°C without condensation, and offers robust protection with an IP20 rating, crosstalk attenuation of at least 80 dB, and common mode rejection of 100 dB. Mechanically, it holds up under vibration (3g) and shock (30g), making it ideal for demanding industrial settings.
