The BMXCPS2010 power supply module is a vital component designed for industrial control systems, providing isolated 24V DC power to various devices and modules. It features a 2-pin alarm relay connector, a 5-pin line supply connector, protective earth, and a 24V DC input sensor for seamless electrical integration. This module is IP20 rated, offering protection against solid objects but not against water. With a net weight of 0.29 kg, it’s suitable for medium to large process applications.
This power supply module operates with a primary voltage of isolated 24V DC, supporting a voltage range of 18 to 31.2 V, and draws 1 A at 24 V during normal conditions. It experiences an inrush current of 30 A at activation, along with I²t and It values of 0.6 A².s and 0.15 A.s respectively. The supply circuit is DC, and the module is not compatible with the BMEXBP..02 backplane, which is crucial for system configuration planning.
For secondary power, this module delivers 16.8 W for 24 V DC I/O modules and processors and 8.3 W for 3.3 V DC I/O module logic, with corresponding output currents of 0.7 A and 2.5 A. It has a maximum power dissipation of 8.5 W, contributing to thermal management. The module functions optimally in ambient temperatures between 0 to 60°C, and can be stored between -40 to 85°C. It operates efficiently in relative humidity levels from 5% to 95% at 55°C (non-condensing) and features a TC protective treatment for additional environmental resistance. Furthermore, the device supports operation at altitudes up to 5000 m, with appropriate derating beyond 2000 m, making it highly adaptable across varied industrial settings.
