The Allen-Bradley 1769-ECR is a Right End Cap Module used to properly terminate the end of a CompactLogix or MicroLogix 1500 system. Engineered for reliability and ease of integration, this module is essential for maintaining system integrity and protecting bus communication.
Part of the CompactLogix series by Rockwell Automation, This module supports Series A and B devices and is designed for open-style enclosures. It ensures correct electrical termination of the communication bus and is critical in systems that use multiple expansion modules.
With a minimal current draw of 5 mA at 5.1V DC and zero draw at 24V DC, it’s energy-efficient while supporting a backplane current of 1.4 Amps at 24V DC. It dissipates 7.5 Watts of power and consumes 33.6 Watts in total.
Built for industrial environments, it operates reliably between 0°C to 60°C, withstands altitudes up to 2000 meters, and endures vibration up to 5g across a frequency range of 10–500 Hz. Shock resistance varies with mounting style—20g on DIN rail and 30g on panel mount. It complies with T3C (NA) and T4 (IEC) temperature ratings.
This module is not designed for Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP), and comes in a compact, lightweight form with shipping dimensions of 8 x 8 x 5 inches and a weight of approximately 0.286 lb (130g).
Whether finalizing a CompactLogix I/O system or ensuring stable MicroLogix 1500 performance, the 1769-ECR Right End Cap Module is a simple but vital component in your control architecture.
This module is critical for completing a CompactLogix or MicroLogix 1500 setup and ensuring proper system communication and functionality.
