Technical specifications for 1747-SDN
The Allen-Bradley 1747-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module is a high-performance communication module designed for the SLC 500 series. It enables seamless interaction between your controller and all DeviceNet-enabled devices on the network. As part of the widely trusted SLC 500 family, the 1747-SDN ensures reliable data exchange using poll, strobe, change-of-state, cyclic I/O, and pass-through messaging. This single-slot module requires a compatible SLC 5/02 or later processor and delivers consistent performance for industrial automation applications.
Engineered for durability, the 1747-SDN operates efficiently with a backplane current consumption of 500 mA at 5V DC and 90 mA at 24V DC. The module is designed to withstand demanding industrial conditions, featuring operating shock resistance of 30 g and vibration resistance from 10–500 Hz. It also performs within a temperature range of 0°C to 55°C, with safe storage down to –40°C and up to 85°C.
Installation is simple thanks to its DIN Rail or Panel Mount options. Status indicators for Mod/Net and I/O (green/red) provide clear visual monitoring. The module supports a linear plug (1787-PLUG10R) and includes one DeviceNet communication port capable of 125 Kbps data transfer.
The Allen-Bradley 1747-SDN is compatible with SLC 5/02, 5/03, 5/04, and 5/05 processors, making it a flexible choice for expanding or upgrading control systems. With 30 chassis module slot compatibility and flash memory for backup, the module ensures secure and stable operation.
Built by Rockwell Automation’s Allen-Bradley brand, the 1747-SDN is ideal for industries requiring dependable DeviceNet communication and robust controller integration.
